Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking to Open on March 7; Multiplex Chains Introduce ‘Super Blockbuster Plus’ Ticket Pricing
Advance bookings for Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 will begin in India on March 7 after the trailer launch. Multiplex chains are also introducing a new ‘Super Blockbuster Plus’ ticket pricing tier due to massive demand.
The excitement around Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is steadily building as the film approaches its theatrical release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Eid festive period. After witnessing a strong start in overseas pre-sales, attention is now shifting to the Indian market, where the film is expected to generate huge demand.
According to industry reports, advance ticket bookings in India are set to open on March 7 across major multiplex chains and cinema networks. Ticket sales will begin shortly after the official theatrical trailer launch, which is also scheduled for the same day.
Tickets to Go Live After Trailer Launch
Cinema chains are preparing to activate ticket sales immediately once the trailer is unveiled. Initially, bookings will open using a provisional censor certificate, allowing exhibitors to start selling tickets even before the final certification process is completed.
This strategy helps theatres capture early demand and build momentum ahead of the film’s release.
New ‘Super Blockbuster Plus’ Ticket Pricing Introduced
With massive buzz surrounding the sequel, several national multiplex chains are introducing a new ticket pricing category called “Super Blockbuster Plus.”
Usually, big-ticket releases fall under “Blockbuster” or “Super Blockbuster” pricing, which is typically 10–25% higher than regular ticket rates depending on the city and theatre. However, the newly introduced Super Blockbuster Plus category could push prices even higher due to the enormous anticipation surrounding the film.
Long Runtime May Affect Number of Shows
One of the reasons behind the higher ticket pricing is the film’s extended runtime, which is reportedly close to four hours. Because of this, cinemas may be able to schedule only about four shows per day, compared to the usual five or six shows for most major releases.
Fewer daily screenings could reduce overall seating capacity, and the slightly higher ticket rates are expected to balance that limitation.
Reports suggest the makers are considering trimming the film’s runtime closer to three hours and thirty minutes, though it would still remain longer than most mainstream theatrical releases.
Massive Opening Expected at the Box Office
Trade analysts are already predicting a huge opening for the spy-action sequel. Early forecasts estimate that Dhurandhar 2 could collect between ₹75 crore and ₹90 crore on its opening day in India, with projections hovering around ₹85 crore.
If the current buzz continues, the film could become one of the biggest Bollywood openers of 2026.
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on March 19, 2026, and is expected to arrive in multiple Indian languages.
