Dhurandhar: The Revenge Box Office – Ranveer Singh Film Crosses ₹17 Crore in Early Bookings, ₹30 Crore Record in Sight
Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge records over ₹17 crore from preview bookings. With advances yet to open fully, the film could cross ₹30 crore in pre-sales and break major preview records.
The upcoming action thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is already showing strong momentum at the box office even before its official release. Early preview bookings have crossed the ₹17 crore mark, signaling massive anticipation among moviegoers.
Industry reports indicate that the film has collected around ₹16.50 crore nett from preview bookings, and when the South-dubbed versions are included, the total rises to over ₹17 crore nett.
National Chains Near 2.5 Lakh Ticket Sales
The film is performing particularly well in major national cinema chains. As of the latest update, these chains have sold approximately 2.45 lakh tickets, generating around ₹11.50 crore nett.
Trade experts believe the ticket sales could soon cross 3 lakh and possibly even 3.5 lakh. Whether the number can reach 4 lakh tickets by Tuesday remains uncertain, but the current trend suggests strong momentum.
Daily Advance Sales Maintain Steady Pace
Preview sales have been progressing steadily, with the film adding roughly ₹1.75 crore in bookings every day. If this trend continues, the preview collections could cross ₹20 crore before Sunday ends.
By Tuesday, the advance preview numbers may move beyond ₹25 crore nett, setting the stage for a historic opening.
However, analysts note that the pace might slow down once full weekend advances are officially opened for booking.
Potential to Cross ₹30 Crore in Pre-Sales
Despite possible fluctuations, trade circles believe ₹25 crore in pre-sales by Tuesday night is highly achievable. If that happens, the final preview total could comfortably surpass ₹30 crore nett.
Such a number would place the film among the biggest preview performers in Indian cinema history.
Show Count Expected to Cross 9,000
Currently, about 8,000 shows have been scheduled for the film across theaters. This number is expected to increase to over 9,000 shows closer to the release.
The total capacity from these shows is estimated to generate nearly ₹60 crore nett, with the final capacity potentially reaching ₹65 crore nett.
This level of capacity makes it easier for the film to cross the ₹30 crore preview mark, and possibly go even higher.
Record for Biggest Previews Under Threat
At present, the record for the largest preview collections in India belongs to They Call Him OG, which earned ₹26 crore nett in preview shows.
With the current trend, Dhurandhar: The Revenge appears well on track to break that record. If the momentum continues, it could become the highest preview grosser ever in India.
Overseas Advance Booking Already Exploding
Interestingly, overseas bookings for the film are reportedly performing exceptionally well. The demand in international markets has been described by trade insiders as “extraordinary”.
In comparison, domestic bookings have yet to reach their full potential since most of the current sales are limited to late evening preview shows with premium ticket pricing.
Full Weekend Advance Bookings Yet to Open
Another key factor is that full advance bookings for the opening weekend have not yet opened across all theatres in India.
Typically, major tentpole films begin advance ticket sales five to seven days before release, which is the current window.
However, a reported disagreement between distributors and national cinema chains has temporarily delayed the process.
Once these issues are resolved and weekend bookings open nationwide, the real box office momentum is expected to begin.
