Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking: Ranveer Singh’s Film Earns ₹13 Crore From Paid Premieres, Over 1.2 Lakh Tickets Sold

Advance booking for “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” (Dhurandhar 2) has started with strong momentum ahead of its theatrical release. The Ranveer Singh starrer, directed by Aditya Dhar, is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on March 19, while special paid premiere screenings will take place on March 18.

Soon after the film’s trailer launch, ticket sales began rapidly across online platforms and theatre chains, indicating strong anticipation among audiences.

Paid Premiere Sales Cross ₹13 Crore

According to early trade reports, the film’s paid preview screenings have already generated more than ₹13 crore in advance bookings, including block seats reserved by exhibitors and distributors.

In addition, the film has sold more than 1.2 lakh tickets across different booking platforms during the initial phase of advance sales.

These numbers highlight the strong buzz surrounding the action sequel even before its official release day.

Strong Demand on Online Ticket Platforms

The ticketing platform BookMyShow has seen particularly strong demand for the film. Within the first day of advance booking opening, the movie reportedly sold nearly 88,000 tickets on the platform alone.

Industry observers noted that ticket sales were moving quickly soon after bookings went live, with thousands of tickets being purchased every hour.

Major Contribution From Multiplex Chains

A large portion of the early revenue has come from India’s leading multiplex chains. Within the first couple of hours of bookings, the film reportedly generated close to ₹4 crore in ticket sales worldwide.

Out of this, around ₹2.5 crore came from major theatre chains such as PVR INOX and Cinepolis, where roughly 35,000 tickets were sold during the initial booking window.

Premium Ticket Pricing for Preview Shows

Some theatres have also introduced premium ticket categories for the early screenings. In certain locations, particularly in the Delhi-NCR region, special ticket categories have been priced significantly higher than standard rates.

In a few cases, the cost of these premium seats has reportedly reached around ₹2,500, reflecting the high demand for the film’s preview shows.

A Sequel to a Blockbuster Film

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is the sequel to the blockbuster “Dhurandhar,” which released in December last year and became one of the biggest hits of the year.

The original film opened strongly at the box office and eventually earned over ₹838 crore in India and more than ₹1,300 crore worldwide, making it a massive success.
