Ranveer Singh - Dhurandhar The Revenge
The buzz around Dhurandhar: The Revenge is rapidly building as the film approaches its theatrical release. Starring Ranveer Singh, the highly anticipated sequel has already begun making waves in international markets through its early ticket sales. With just under two weeks left before the premiere, the film has reportedly crossed $150,000 in overseas advance bookings, signaling strong interest among global audiences.
The momentum for the spy-action sequel has grown even stronger after the postponement of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash. With the major clash now avoided, industry observers believe the sequel could enjoy a more favorable box office window when it arrives in cinemas on March 19.
Early numbers indicate that North America is emerging as one of the most promising markets for the film. Advance ticket sales for the premiere shows alone have already generated close to $70,000 in revenue. When combined with the opening day bookings, the total advance sales in the United States have crossed the $100,000 mark.
These figures are particularly notable because several major theatre chains have yet to begin selling tickets. Trade analysts expect the numbers to rise sharply once bookings expand across more locations and screens in the coming days.
The impressive pre-release momentum has sparked speculation about record-breaking performances overseas. Currently, Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, holds one of the strongest Bollywood premiere records in the United States after earning around $1.2 million from preview screenings.
Industry trackers suggest that if the current trend continues, Dhurandhar 2 could challenge some of these benchmarks in the North American market, especially given the franchise’s established fan base.
The expectations for the sequel are naturally high because of the massive success of its predecessor, Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar. Released in December 2025, the film became one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema history.
The first installment reportedly earned more than ₹1300 crore worldwide, including over ₹1000 crore in domestic gross collections. Its strong performance in overseas territories also played a significant role in establishing the franchise as a global box office force.
Unlike the first film, which was primarily released in Hindi, the sequel is scheduled for a wider pan-India rollout. The movie will arrive in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, potentially expanding its reach across regional markets.
With growing advance sales overseas, a strong fan base, and a wide multilingual release, Dhurandhar 2 is shaping up to be one of the biggest theatrical events of 2026.
Fans are also eagerly waiting for the official trailer of the film. While the preview was initially expected earlier this month, reports suggest that the makers postponed the launch. The trailer is now likely to be unveiled after the Holi festivities, which could further boost the promotional momentum leading up to the release.
As the countdown continues, the early overseas numbers indicate that Dhurandhar 2 could be heading toward a powerful start at the global box office.
