The buzz around Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues to grow as the makers prepare for the trailer launch. Along with promotional activities, the production team is also working on strategies to maximize the film’s opening collections.
Reports suggest that the producers, Jio Studios, are planning paid premiere shows starting on March 18 from 5 PM, a day before the official theatrical release. These early screenings could help generate strong word-of-mouth and give the film a head start at the box office.
Interestingly, another big Telugu release, Ustaad Bhagath Singh, is also reportedly considering premiere shows on the same day but later in the night around 10 PM. If both films proceed with these plans, the box office competition could begin even before the official release day.
This situation may create an intense race for audience attention in theatres.
One of the biggest challenges for Dhurandhar 2 is its long runtime, which is said to be around 3 hours and 40 minutes. Because of this extended duration, theatres—especially multiplexes—may be able to schedule fewer shows in a single day compared to regular films.
To balance the reduced number of screenings, the makers are reportedly exploring higher ticket pricing across several regions.
In many states across India, cinemas already follow dynamic ticket pricing, meaning rates can increase for highly anticipated films. Early reports indicate that ticket prices for Dhurandhar 2 could be up to 25% higher than standard rates in certain locations.
However, the producers are still evaluating whether the same pricing strategy should apply to the South Indian language versions, including the Telugu release.
Industry insiders say the team is considering multiple options before finalizing the ticket pricing strategy:
The final decision may depend on local regulations and audience response.
In Telangana, obtaining official permission for special premieres and increased ticket prices can sometimes be complicated due to government regulations. Producers often require approval from state authorities before implementing such changes.
Because of this, the makers are carefully evaluating the situation before making an official announcement.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on March 19, 2026. The film will be released in multiple languages, including Hindi and Telugu, aiming to attract audiences across India.
With early premiere plans, pricing discussions, and strong anticipation surrounding the film, Dhurandhar 2 is shaping up to be one of the biggest theatrical events of the year.
