Dhurandhar 2 US Box Office: Ranveer Singh’s Film Surpasses First Part by $113K in Opening Day Pre-Sales 13 Days Before Premiere
Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 is creating massive buzz in the US box office with strong advance bookings. The film has already surpassed the first part’s opening day by $113K in pre-sales with 13 days still left before its premiere.
Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar’s upcoming action thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge is already making waves in the international market. Even though the film’s premiere is still nearly two weeks away, the sequel has generated exceptional momentum in the United States through advance ticket sales.
The early response from audiences suggests that the film could deliver one of the biggest overseas openings for a Bollywood movie in recent years.
Strong Advance Booking for US Premiere Shows
According to early trade estimates, the film has collected around $301.6K in advance bookings for its premiere screenings in the United States. The sequel has reportedly sold more than 18,800 tickets across 845 shows in over 500 locations, reflecting strong demand for the Ranveer Singh starrer.
The situation has also turned favourable for the film after the postponement of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which has reduced the possibility of a major box office clash.
Already Ahead of Dhurandhar’s Opening Day
The first film in the franchise, released in 2025, earned $317K on its opening day in the US. However, the sequel has already surpassed that mark in advance sales alone.
Current estimates indicate that Dhurandhar: The Revenge has reached around $430K in opening-day pre-sales, meaning it is already about $113K ahead of the first film’s opening total—and this has happened nearly 13 days before the premiere.
If the current pace continues, the film is expected to create several new milestones before release.
Could Challenge Major Bollywood Records
The benchmark for the highest US premiere pre-sales among Bollywood films currently belongs to Animal, which recorded more than $650K in advance sales. Industry watchers believe that Dhurandhar 2 is moving quickly toward that figure and could potentially surpass it.
North America Target: $1 Million Premieres
The original Dhurandhar performed extremely well in North America and eventually became one of the highest-grossing Indian films in the region, trailing only Baahubali 2.
With the sequel showing such strong momentum in advance bookings, trade analysts expect the film to comfortably cross $1 million in premiere collections across the USA and Canada. Its next target will be to beat the $1.2 million premiere benchmark set by Animal in the North American market.
If the current trend continues, Dhurandhar: The Revenge could emerge as one of the biggest overseas openers for a Bollywood film in recent years.
