Dhurandhar Dominates on Netflix with 22 Million Views as Sequel Buzz Around ‘The Revenge’ Grows
Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar crosses 22 million views on Netflix in just 31 days. The blockbuster continues to trend globally ahead of Dhurandhar: The Revenge’s March 19 release.
Even as anticipation builds for Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the original Dhurandhar is enjoying a powerful digital run. The spy action thriller, led by Ranveer Singh, has now surpassed 22 million views on Netflix, reinforcing its blockbuster status beyond theatres.
Strong Performance in Fifth Weekend
During its fifth weekend on Netflix, the film recorded approximately 1.3 million views between February 23 and March 1. It ranked ninth among the most-watched non-English films globally on the platform for that week.
With this latest surge, its cumulative viewership has climbed to 22 million within just 31 days of streaming — a remarkable milestone for an Indian action thriller.
Continues Winning Streak After Historic Box Office Run
Originally released in cinemas on December 5, 2025, the film went on to gross over ₹1,300 crore worldwide, becoming one of the highest-earning Hindi-language films ever. Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the project proved to be a massive commercial success across territories.
Its digital performance has only strengthened that legacy. Industry trackers note that Dhurandhar is currently the most-watched Indian film on Netflix since last year and the top-performing Indian digital title of 2026 so far across platforms.
Among recent 2026 digital releases, Haq, featuring Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi, stands second with 11.3 million views — nearly half of Dhurandhar’s tally.
Sequel Set for Theatrical Release
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the franchise now moves forward with Dhurandhar: The Revenge, scheduled for a March 19 release in multiple languages. With the original film maintaining strong momentum online, trade analysts believe the sequel is entering theatres with substantial goodwill and renewed audience interest.
As streaming numbers continue to climb and the sequel’s release date approaches, the Dhurandhar brand appears stronger than ever — both on the big screen and in the digital arena.
