Toxic Postponed: No Box Office Clash With Dhurandhar 2 on March 19 as Yash’s Film Moves to June

The much-anticipated box office face-off between Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic will no longer take place on March 19. The makers of Toxic have officially pushed the film’s release to June 4, 2026, citing the ongoing conflict in the Middle East as the primary reason behind the decision.

With this change, Dhurandhar 2 will now enjoy a solo release on its original date.

Yash Confirms New Release Date

Kannada superstar Yash took to X to share the update with fans. Announcing the revised schedule, he confirmed that Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups will now hit cinemas worldwide on June 4, 2026.

In the official statement, the team explained that the film was designed with a global audience in mind. Shot in both Kannada and English, the project was developed to connect with viewers not just in India but across international markets as well.

However, the prevailing uncertainty in parts of the Middle East has created challenges for a wide-scale global rollout. Considering the broader impact on distribution and audience reach, the producers decided to reschedule the release in the interest of partners and moviegoers.

The team thanked fans for their patience and assured them that the film will arrive in theatres worldwide in English and multiple Indian languages on the new date.

Dhurandhar 2 Now Gets a Solo Run

The postponement has effectively cleared the way for Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2, which was earlier set for a major clash with Toxic. With Yash’s film stepping aside, Dhurandhar 2 will be the only big-ticket release on March 19.

The sequel has been generating strong buzz, and trade observers believe the absence of direct competition could significantly boost its opening prospects at the box office.

About Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups

Toxic is backed by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, with production led by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash. The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas.

The ensemble cast features prominent names including Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth, alongside Yash.

Filmed in Kannada and English, Toxic will also be released in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, aiming for a pan-India as well as international audience reach.

With the new release date locked in, fans will now have to wait a little longer to witness the high-profile action drama on the big screen.
